A bit of a soap box moment. Sorry! Skip ahead if you don’t care.
I love Alec Baldwin. I think he’s a tremendous actor with a huge range. I just read the New Yorker article he wrote and it made me very sad. I certainly do not believe he is either a racist or a homophobe nor am I offended by the statements he has made.
I find it ironic that in the very same issue of the New Yorker there is an article titled The Four Most Desired People in New York. Under the names of these said desired people are the titles The Gay Man, The Gay Woman, The Straight Man, and The Straight Woman. I find this article to be far more offensive to not just any group in particular but to my general respect for humanity. So please lay off Mr. Baldwin.
